Report on NELA AGM

The Annual General Meeting of NELA was held at the NELA Secretariat at 5.30 pm on Tuesday 25 November 2008 with members also attending by teleconference. Proxies were also received from thirteen members.President Robyn Glindemann presented a comprehensive report on her Presidency for the year and a copy of this report is included with this Bulletin. In the absence of the Treasurer, the Secretary presented the Directors’ Report, Financial Statements and Auditor’s Report. A printed copy of this report was sent to all members with the last mailing of the NELA Review Issue 2008-2.

At a subsequent meeting of the National Executive, held on 17 December 2008, Robyn Glindemann was re-elected President of the Association. Other office-bearers continuing are: Vice-Presidents, Greg Rose and Stefani White, and Secretary/Public Officer, Howard Grant. Following his election as President of the Law Council Environment and Planning Committee, Matthew Baird may not be able to continue as NELA Treasurer. If this is the case, a volunteer will be sought from the NELA membership.

Directors of NELA (the company) continue to be: Robyn Glindemann, Glen McLeod, Greg Rose and Tim Mellor.
