Several major Australian law firms use their websites to provide free newsletters that contain information useful to NELA members. Some of these are set out below:

  • The following link will take you to a 200-plus page document entitled "The Effects of Climate Change on Agriculture, Land Resources, Water Resources, and Biodiversity in the United States."
This report was released in June 2008 by the U.S. Climate Change Science Program and the Subcommittee on Global Change Research. The U.S. Department of Agriculture was the lead agency for the report. The document has no less than 38 authors, was peer-reviewed by 14 scientists, and includes more than 1,000 references. It focuses on the next 25-50 years.

The link was sent to us by our new friends at the American Bar Association.  In addition to strengthening our already great relationship with the Resource Management Law Association of New Zealand, NELA is also looking further afield to our North American colleagues at the ABA and the Canadian Bar Association.  Stay tuned to the forthcoming NELA Bulletin and National Environmental Law Review, and the NELA website, for further details of these exciting initiatives.
