The Sarah Flynne Memorial Lecture commemorates the life and work of Sarah Flynne, a rising star in Australian climate law who passed away in 2022. The Lecture is an annual event to showcase innovation in climate action and environmental law and policy, and to encourage creativity in legal, economic and social responses to climate change and environmental protection.

The 2023 Sarah Flynne Memorial Lecture will be presented by Zoe Bush (Environmental Defenders Office), entitled “The role of lawyers in addressing the climate crisis”. The keynote address will be followed by a youth panel discussion on the topic facilitated by Dr Lauren Butterly (University of Western Australia).

Refreshments will be provided following the lecture and panel discussion.
